In short

Cold laser — low-level laser therapy — is gentle body sculpting. A specific wavelength of light prompts fat cells to release their stored contents, which the body then clears on its own. Nothing is heated, suctioned or cut, and nothing is felt. It rewards consistency: three treatments a week for six to eight weeks. It is also a good option for mild wrinkles, scars and acne. The six-week package is $1,200.

How it actually works

The mechanism, plainly.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses light at a specific wavelength rather than heat. The device is placed over the treatment area and emits low-level laser energy through the skin to the fat layer beneath. Instead of destroying the cells, the light prompts them to release their stored contents, which the body clears through its natural pathways over the following weeks.

Because there is no heat, pressure or suction, the session is felt as nothing at all — most people describe it as relaxing, and it suits people who are sensitive to heat-based systems. Its strength is consistency: three sessions a week for six to eight weeks is what builds the result. For deeper sculpting, skin tightening and muscle, EvolveX is the platform we reach for, and the two work well together.

What it treats

Specific areas, listed.

Gentle shaping of the body, plus mild skin concerns. The specific areas for your body are set at the consult against your baseline scan.

  • — Gentle body sculpting Subtle shaping of small to moderate areas, built up over a consistent course.
  • — Mild wrinkles Light-based support for fine lines and early skin ageing, with no heat and no downtime.
  • — Scars and acne Mild scarring and acne respond well to the same low-level light.
  • — Circumference, measured Change is tracked against your 3D scan at 30, 60 and 90 days rather than judged by eye.
  • — Alongside EvolveX Many people pair cold laser with EvolveX. Your provider recommends the right mix at your consult.

How the light works

Different colors, different depths.

Low level light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light, measured in nanometres (nm). Each wavelength is absorbed at a different depth, so the color decides what the light can reach. Nothing is heated and nothing is felt.

Blue 415 nm
Surface

Stays in the top layer of the skin. Used for acne-prone skin.

Green 520 nm
Shallow

Reaches just below the surface. Used for uneven tone and visible redness.

Yellow 590 nm
Middle layer

Reaches the middle layer of the skin. Used for redness and overall skin tone.

Red 633 nm
Deep

Reaches the collagen-producing layer. Used for fine lines, texture and scars, and red light is what published studies of low level laser body contouring have used.

Near-infrared 830 nm
Deepest

Invisible to the eye, and it travels furthest, into the tissue beneath the skin.

Depths are illustrative and vary with skin and device. Which colors a treatment uses depends on the device and the program, and your provider sets that at your consult.

Candidacy

Who it is for — and who it isn't.

This is for you if

  • You prefer a gentle, non-invasive treatment with nothing felt.
  • You want subtle shaping and can commit to three sessions a week for six to eight weeks.
  • You also want help with mild wrinkles, scars or acne.
  • You are close to your target weight, or you are sensitive to heat-based systems.

This isn't for you if

  • You want more definitive sculpting, skin tightening or muscle building. That is where EvolveX excels.
  • Your main complaint is significant loose skin. Cold laser will not reach it.
  • You have a lot of weight to lose. Cold laser works alongside medically managed weight loss, and your provider sets the plan at the consult.
  • You want a single-visit result. Cold laser works through consistency, over a series.

Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. Questions

About Cold laser.

Does cold laser hurt?

No. There is no heat, pressure or suction; the device is placed over the skin and emits low-level laser light. Many people describe the sensation as relaxing.

How many sessions will I need?

Three treatments a week for six to eight weeks. Cold laser rewards consistency, so the schedule matters more than any single session. The 3D scan at 30, 60 and 90 days tells us whether it is working.

What does it cost?

The six-week package, three treatments a week, is $1,200.

Can it help with wrinkles, scars or acne?

Yes, for mild concerns. The same low-level light that supports gentle body sculpting is also good for mild wrinkles, scars and acne. For the face and scalp specifically, see cold laser for face and hair.

When will I see a change?

Results appear gradually over the course as the body processes the released fat. It is subtle by design, which is why it is measured rather than eyeballed.

Is this the same as CoolSculpting?

No. CoolSculpting cools fat cells to destroy them. Cold laser does not destroy anything: the light prompts the cells to release their stored contents, which the body then clears. Different mechanism, and gentler.

Should I choose cold laser or EvolveX?

Cold laser is gentle sculpting that takes consistency, and it also helps mild wrinkles, scars and acne. EvolveX is our platform for mild to moderate sculpting, skin tightening and building muscle without the gym, and it is the ideal partner for GLP-1 therapy. Many people use both. Your provider recommends the right mix at your consult.

Is there any downtime?

None. You resume regular activities immediately after the session.

Nothing felt, nothing cut.

The Private Consultation: one hour, a full 3D scan, and a written protocol with real prices — credited toward any package or membership you begin within 30 days.
