IV Therapy & Recovery
The L(IV)E Lounge — IV therapy in Alpharetta, GA
Hydration, recovery, energy
Price TBC confirmed in writing at your consult, before anything is bookedIn short
IV therapy infuses fluids, electrolytes and vitamins directly into the bloodstream. Because it bypasses digestion, the body takes them up faster and more completely than it can from anything swallowed. At The L(IV)E Lounge a small catheter goes into the arm, you settle into a reclining chair for 30 to 60 minutes, and a trained medical professional monitors the infusion. Blends are chosen for hydration, recovery, energy or immune support; there is no downtime.
How it actually works
The mechanism, plainly.
Anything you drink or swallow has to be absorbed through the gut, and the gut is selective: it takes up some nutrients well, others poorly, and everything slowly. An intravenous infusion puts fluid, electrolytes and vitamins straight into the bloodstream, so the full dose arrives, and arrives quickly. Most people feel the effect of hydration within hours; others notice gradual improvement over 24 to 48 hours as the nutrients circulate.
The blend is the choice. Saline and electrolytes such as sodium and potassium for hydration; B-complex vitamins for energy production; vitamin C for immune support; magnesium for muscle recovery and relaxation; amino acids, trace minerals or glutathione for antioxidant support. Your provider selects the ingredients from your symptoms, your health history and any laboratory findings, and the same lounge offers NAD+ by injection and lymphatic drainage for recovery after contouring.

Candidacy
Who it is for — and who it isn't.
This is for you if
- Persistent fatigue, mild dehydration or slow recovery — after travel, a workout, an illness or a long week.
- High stress, or a period when you are not absorbing nutrients well from food.
- You are on a contouring or weight-loss programme here and want the recovery side covered.
- You want athletic recovery or wellness maintenance, chosen by a provider rather than off a menu.
This isn't for you if
- You are looking for a treatment for a medical condition. IV therapy supports wellness; it does not treat disease, and the provider will say so.
- You have a medical history — kidney, heart or electrolyte concerns among them — that needs a modified formulation or closer monitoring. Screening decides, and some people are declined.
- You have not eaten and are sensitive to needles. Eat first; we will reschedule rather than risk you feeling faint.
- You expect it to reverse the effects of heavy drinking. It can ease hangover symptoms; it does not undo the cause.
Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. The content on this site is for general information and does not constitute medical advice or establish a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy for any treatment is determined during an in-person consultation. Individual results vary.

How it compares
IV therapy — The L(IV)E Lounge against oral hydration and supplements.
The alternative is drinking water and taking a vitamin. Both good; the difference is route and speed.
| IV therapy — The L(IV)E Lounge | oral hydration and supplements | |
|---|---|---|
| Route | Straight into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion. | Through the gut, which absorbs some nutrients well and others poorly. |
| Dose delivered | The full dose. | A fraction, depending on the nutrient and on you. |
| Speed | Hours. | Days to weeks for a deficiency to change. |
| Supervision | Screened, placed and monitored by a medical professional. | None. |
| Use | A boost or a short series, not a daily habit. | Daily, and the right baseline for everyone. |

Questions
About IV therapy — The L(IV)E Lounge.
How often should I get IV therapy?
It varies with your goals, lifestyle and current nutrient levels. Some people come occasionally — after travel, illness or intense activity; others schedule sessions weekly or monthly as part of a wider plan. For ongoing fatigue or recovery, a provider may recommend a short series followed by maintenance, set from your symptoms and any laboratory results so it is not overused.
Does it cause side effects?
It is generally well tolerated when administered by trained medical professionals. Mild effects can include temporary bruising, slight swelling or tenderness at the site, and a cool feeling in the arm. Rarely, dizziness or light-headedness, particularly if you are sensitive to needles or have not eaten. Serious complications — infection or vein irritation — are uncommon; screening, sterile technique and supervision reduce the risk.
Is it safe if I have a chronic medical condition?
Many people with chronic conditions can receive IV therapy safely, but medical screening is essential. Kidney, heart or electrolyte concerns may need a modified formulation or closer monitoring, and specific medications may interact. The consultation reviews your diagnosis, medications and goals before anything is recommended — and sometimes the answer is no.
Which vitamins and nutrients are in an infusion?
Formulations vary with the purpose. Common ingredients: saline and electrolytes such as sodium and potassium for hydration; B-complex vitamins for energy production; vitamin C for immune support; magnesium for muscle recovery and relaxation; amino acids, trace minerals or glutathione for antioxidant support. Your provider selects from your symptoms, laboratory findings if available, and goals.
Do I need bloodwork first?
Not always, but it may be recommended depending on your history, medications and goals — for a chronic condition, a suspected deficiency, kidney concerns, or complex symptoms. Bloodwork can identify nutrient levels and other factors that decide which blend is appropriate.
Can I eat before my appointment, and how should I prepare?
Yes — eating beforehand is encouraged. A light meal or snack with protein, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates lowers the chance of feeling light-headed. Drink water before you come, wear sleeves you can roll above the elbow, bring headphones or a book, and tell your provider about recent symptoms, medications, supplements or allergies.
Does it help with hangovers or jet lag?
It can ease hangover symptoms — dehydration, headache, nausea, fatigue — with fluids, electrolytes, anti-nausea medication and B vitamins, and it can support recovery after travel by replenishing what long flights and disrupted sleep deplete. It does not reverse the effects of heavy drinking or cure jet lag, and moderation still matters.
Do you offer in-home infusions?
Ask when you book. The lounge is in Suite 201 in Alpharetta; mobile infusions are arranged case by case with the clinical team.
