Cold laser — face & hair in Alpharetta, GA
Skin revitalization and scalp health, nothing felt
Price TBC confirmed in writing at your consult, before anything is bookedIn short
Cold laser therapy — low-level laser therapy — uses controlled wavelengths of light to support cellular activity in the skin and scalp. Applied to the face it encourages clearer, brighter skin and more even texture; applied to the scalp it supports a healthier-looking scalp and fuller-looking hair. There is no heat, no irritation and no downtime: 15 to 30 minutes of rest, over a series. Price confirmed at your consult.
How it actually works
The mechanism, plainly.
A cold laser device is placed over the skin or scalp and emits focused, low-level laser light at controlled wavelengths. The light penetrates the surface without heating it and stimulates the cells underneath, encouraging the natural processes that maintain texture, tone and hair vitality. Nothing is heated, broken or injected, which is why the session is felt as nothing at all.
Cold laser is more concentrated than LED light therapy: LED spreads broad-spectrum light across the surface, while a low-level laser delivers focused light deeper and to specific zones — an area of thinning hair, a patch of uneven texture. Improvements develop gradually over several weeks as the tissue responds, so it is a series, not a single visit. It is the gentlest treatment in the face category; where the complaint is texture that needs more, microneedling is the next step.

Candidacy
Who it is for — and who it isn't.
This is for you if
- You prefer a gentle, non-invasive, painless treatment.
- You want support for skin clarity and tone, or mild redness.
- You are beginning to notice early thinning of your hair.
- You want a relaxing, technology-based option that fits into a routine.
This isn't for you if
- Your complaint is laxity — a jawline, a neck. Light does not tighten; see the face hub for what does.
- You want a dramatic or fast change. This is subtle and gradual by design.
- You have severe acne needing medical treatment, or advanced hair loss. Cold laser complements care; it does not replace it, and the consult will say so.
- Certain medical conditions or medications affect whether light therapy is appropriate. Your history is reviewed at the consult.
Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. The content on this site is for general information and does not constitute medical advice or establish a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy for any treatment is determined during an in-person consultation. Individual results vary.

Questions
About Cold laser — face & hair.
What makes cold laser therapy different from LED light therapy?
LED light therapy uses broad-spectrum light that spreads across the skin’s surface and is commonly used for general skin care. Cold laser uses focused, low-level laser light that penetrates deeper and targets specific areas with greater precision — which is why it is used for targeted zones such as areas of thinning hair or uneven texture.
How many sessions are usually recommended?
It varies with your concerns and goals. A series spaced over several weeks supports consistent improvement in tone and texture; patients commonly begin weekly or every two weeks and then move to less frequent maintenance. Because the therapy supports natural cellular activity, improvements develop gradually rather than immediately.
Is it safe for all skin types and tones?
It is generally regarded as safe across skin types and tones: the treatment uses low-level light rather than heat, which reduces the risk of irritation or pigmentation change. Every person’s skin is different, and certain conditions or medications may influence whether it is appropriate — the consult reviews your history and confirms the fit.
Can it help with acne or acne scars?
It may help mild acne and lingering acne marks — the light encourages cellular activity that may improve texture and overall skin health, and some patients report a calmer, more balanced complexion after a series. It is not a replacement for medical acne treatment in severe cases, but it can complement other services.
Does it work for both men and women with thinning hair?
Yes — for men and women noticing early thinning or reduced density. Hair loss patterns and causes vary, so individual results differ. Many patients include cold laser as part of a broader hair plan; your provider evaluates your concerns and tells you whether it supports your goals.
Is there anything I should avoid before or after a session?
Arrive with clean skin or a clean scalp, free of heavy makeup, oils or styling products, so the light reaches the treatment area easily. Afterwards you can return to normal activities right away; avoid harsh products on the skin or scalp for the rest of the day, and stay well hydrated.
What does it cost?
