Non-Invasive Body Contouring
3D body scanning in Alpharetta, GA
Knowing whether any of it is working
Included Included with every plan; re-scanned at 30, 60 and 90 daysIn short
A Styku 3D body scan captures millions of data points and over 600 infrared images in a few minutes while you stand on a platform that rotates around you. It produces circumference measurements at every level, a body-shape analysis and your composition — fat versus lean mass — plus your daily caloric expenditure. It is included with every plan and repeated at 30, 60 and 90 days, so progress is measured, not guessed.
How it actually works
The mechanism, plainly.
You stand still on a small platform; the scanner rotates around you and captures a full digital model of your body in seconds — millions of data points from more than 600 infrared images. There is no contact and no radiation. From that model the software calculates circumferences at every level, a body-shape analysis and composition: fat versus lean body mass.
It also estimates your daily caloric expenditure and a maximum caloric intake for your goal, which is what a nutrition plan gets written against. Your provider reviews the scan with you — measurements, posture insights and change over time — and the same scan is repeated at each checkpoint so the comparison is like-for-like rather than a number on a bathroom scale.
What it treats
Specific areas, listed.
What the scan measures. Every treatment plan in the practice is written against it and re-measured on it.
- — Circumference Chest, waist, hips, thighs, arms — at every level, from the same landmarks each time.
- — Body composition Fat versus lean body mass, so you can see whether a change is fat coming off or muscle going on.
- — Body shape A shape analysis of the full digital model, front, side and back.
- — Caloric expenditure and intake Your estimated daily expenditure and a maximum intake for your goal.
- — Posture Posture insights reviewed with you alongside the measurements.
- — Change over time Baseline at the consult, then 30, 60 and 90 days — the proof mechanism for everything else.
Before / after
3D body scanning cases.
Scan-to-scan comparisons rather than photographs. Scan images are health information, so they are published only with the patient’s written authorization — the first are added as patients give it.
What to expect
The real table.
What we can state from the treatment itself is stated. What depends on your body is confirmed at the consult, in writing, not guessed here.
| Question | 3D body scanning |
|---|---|
| Session length | A few minutes. The scan itself takes seconds; the review with your provider takes the rest. |
| What it feels like | Nothing. You stand still on the platform while it rotates — no contact, no radiation. |
| Numbing | Not applicable. |
| Downtime | None. |
| Number of sessions | Baseline at the consult, then every 30 days — 30, 60 and 90. |
| When results appear | Immediately. The report is reviewed with you the same visit and is yours to keep. |
| How long they last | Not applicable — it is a measurement, repeated each checkpoint. |
Candidacy
Who it is for — and who it isn't.
The scan is part of The Blueprint Consult ($150, credited toward any package or membership you begin within 60 days): one hour, a full scan, a written protocol.
This is for you if
- You are starting any plan here — weight loss, contouring, a programme — and want a baseline before the first session.
- You want to know whether what you are doing is working, in numbers.
- You want composition — fat versus muscle — rather than the scale.
- You want the written report, whether or not you go ahead with treatment.
This isn't for you if
- You are looking for a medical diagnosis. The scan measures shape and composition; it is not diagnostic imaging.
- You cannot stand unaided on the platform for the few seconds the scan takes.
- You want to be judged by the bathroom scale. This is deliberately not that.
Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. The content on this site is for general information and does not constitute medical advice or establish a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy for any treatment is determined during an in-person consultation. Individual results vary.

How it compares
3D body scanning against the scale and a tape measure.
The alternative most people are using. Not wrong — just not enough to make a treatment decision on.
| 3D body scanning | the scale and a tape measure | |
|---|---|---|
| What it measures | Circumference at every level, body composition, shape, posture, caloric expenditure. | Total weight; a circumference wherever the tape happened to sit. |
| Repeatability | The software finds the same landmarks on every scan. | Tape placement and tension vary visit to visit. |
| What it tells you | Whether a change is fat, muscle or water — and where. | A single number that moves for many reasons. |
| Time | Seconds to capture; minutes to review. | Seconds — and no review. |
| Cost | Included. | Free, and worth it for a weekly check-in. |
Who performs it
Under physician direction, every time.
Dr. Andrew Pugliese is our medical director and oversees every clinical protocol. Karen Heimbrecht, RN is clinical director and runs treatment delivery and training. Protocols are written and versioned, not improvised. More on how we work.
Questions
About 3D body scanning.
Is my scan data kept private?
Yes. All scans are confidential and the data is securely stored. Scan images are health information: nothing is published or shared without your written authorization.
Will my insurance cover 3D body scanning?
Coverage varies. It is always best to consult your insurance provider and our clinic team for details — though as the scan is included with every plan here, there is no separate charge to claim.
How long does it take?
The scan itself takes seconds: you stand on the platform and it rotates around you. Reviewing the report with your provider takes a few minutes more, and you leave with it.
Is it safe?
Yes. The scanner uses infrared images — no radiation and no physical contact.
What should I wear?
Something consistent from scan to scan, so the comparison holds. Ask when you book and we will tell you exactly what works; the practice keeps the conditions identical at every checkpoint.
How often is it repeated?
Baseline at the consult, then every 30 days — 30, 60 and 90 — for the length of a plan. If a number is not moving at day 30 or 60, the plan changes then, not at the end.
What does it cost?
Nothing separate. It is included with every plan and with the consult; the report is yours whether or not you go ahead with treatment.
Do I get the report?
Yes. One hour with a practitioner and a full 3D body scan. $150, credited toward any package or membership you start within 60 days. If you decide not to go ahead, the protocol and your scan report are yours either way.
