Minimally Invasive Body Contouring
QuantumRF in Alpharetta, GA
Fat and loose skin together — arms, abdomen
Price TBC confirmed in writing at your consult, before anything is booked New · launchingIn short
QuantumRF is a minimally invasive radiofrequency platform. Under local anaesthetic, fractionated RF energy is delivered beneath the skin through fine cannulas — 10, 17 and 25 gauge — to contract the tissue and reduce fat in the same in-office procedure. It is performed under physician direction, treats the abdomen and arms in one treatment, and involves a few days of downtime. It is launching at BodyWorks; pricing is confirmed in writing before the first case is booked.
How it actually works
The mechanism, plainly.
Non-invasive radiofrequency has to pass through the skin to reach the tissue underneath, which limits how much energy it can deliver and how deep it can go. QuantumRF goes under it. After local anaesthetic, a fine cannula — 10, 17 or 25 gauge, chosen for the area — is passed beneath the skin through a small entry point and delivers fractionated radiofrequency energy directly into the fat and the fibrous layer that gives skin its support.
Heating that layer to a controlled temperature makes it contract, and the same energy reduces the fat in the treated zone. Because the energy is delivered from inside, the skin surface is protected and the tightening develops as the tissue remodels in the months that follow. That is what puts it in a different category from anything applied on the surface — and why it is an in-office procedure under physician direction rather than a treatment on a menu.
What it treats
Specific areas, listed.
Fat and loose skin together, where reducing one without addressing the other would make it look worse. Other areas are assessed case by case at the consult.
- — Abdomen Laxity with fat after weight loss or pregnancy — the case where surface contouring alone falls short.
- — Upper arms Laxity under the arm, with or without a fat pocket.
- — Flanks and inner thighs Assessed individually; treated in the same session where appropriate.
Before / after
QuantumRF cases.
The first BodyWorks QuantumRF cases are photographed at baseline and 90 days, same lighting and pose, and published here with consent as each completes. No borrowed frames.
What to expect
The real table.
What we can state from the treatment itself is stated. What depends on your body is confirmed at the consult, in writing, not guessed here.

Candidacy
Who it is for — and who it isn't.
This is for you if
- You have fat and loose skin together — the skin stays creased when you pinch it.
- Your abdomen changed after weight loss or pregnancy and the skin did not follow.
- You want one procedure rather than a course of sessions, and can accept a few days of downtime and a local anaesthetic.
- You do not want surgery, or you have been told you are not quite a surgical case.
This isn't for you if
- The skin snaps back when you pinch it. That is fat, not laxity, and EvolveX — non-invasive, no downtime — is the honest starting point.
- You can lift a fold of excess skin. Tissue contraction has a ceiling; that is a surgeon’s conversation, and we will say so and refer you.
- You are still losing significant weight. Finish that first; the target moves otherwise.
- You are pregnant, or have certain medical histories or medications that rule out a minimally invasive procedure. The consult screens for them.
Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. The content on this site is for general information and does not constitute medical advice or establish a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy for any treatment is determined during an in-person consultation. Individual results vary.

How it compares
QuantumRF against a surgical lift.
The alternative people weigh it against is a tummy tuck or arm lift. The trade is stated plainly; if the surgeon is the right answer, we will say so.
| QuantumRF | a surgical lift | |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanism | Radiofrequency beneath the skin contracts the supporting tissue and reduces fat. | Excess skin is removed and the underlying tissue repositioned. |
| Anaesthetic | Local. | General or regional. |
| Incisions | Cannula entry points of a few millimetres. | A surgical incision, with a scar. |
| Downtime | A few days. | Weeks of restricted activity. |
| What it can do | Contract and reduce, within the limits of what the tissue can remodel. | Remove excess skin outright. |
| How the result arrives | Over the months that follow, as the tissue remodels. | In one step, once swelling settles. |
Who performs it
Under physician direction, every time.
Dr. Andrew Pugliese is our medical director and oversees every clinical protocol. Karen Heimbrecht, RN is clinical director and runs treatment delivery and training. Protocols are written and versioned, not improvised. More on how we work.
Questions
About QuantumRF.
Is QuantumRF surgery?
No. It is a minimally invasive in-office procedure: local anaesthetic, small entry points for the cannulas, no excision, no general anaesthetic. It is performed under physician direction, which is a different thing from a device treatment on a menu.
What does “fractionated” radiofrequency mean?
The energy is delivered in a pattern of treated points with untreated tissue between them, rather than as one continuous field. The treated points contract and remodel; the tissue between them supports the recovery, which is why downtime is days rather than weeks.
Why cannulas of three sizes?
The 10, 17 and 25-gauge cannulas suit different areas and depths — a larger cannula for the abdomen, finer ones where the tissue is thinner. The choice is made for your anatomy at the consult.
Does it hurt?
A local anaesthetic goes in first. During the procedure most people describe pressure and warmth rather than pain. What the days afterwards feel like for you is discussed at the consult, honestly.
How much downtime is there?
A few days. Plan around anything important; most people book toward the end of a week. The specifics for your case are put in writing at the consult.
How many treatments will I need?
It is designed as a single treatment. Whether one area or several are treated in that session is set at the consult against your scan.
How is this different from Morpheus8 Body?
Both work beneath the surface with radiofrequency. Morpheus8 Body delivers it through a matrix of fine needles to a set depth and is skin work — laxity and texture — over a short series. QuantumRF delivers it through a cannula, deeper, and addresses fat and laxity together in one procedure. Morpheus8 Body has its own page.
What does it cost, and when can I book?
QuantumRF is launching at BodyWorks. Pricing is being finalised and is published on the pricing page the moment it is confirmed; you get the number in writing at your consult before anything is booked. You can book the consult now.
